Stockton Pet Hospital in Lakewood Colorado is looking for a new or recent graduate for our team. We are looking for a strong communicator that builds relationships with our clients and practices high quality medicine. The three day a week schedule (approximately 30 hours clinic duty) accommodates 4 days to enjoy the Rocky Mountains. Mentoring is in place for new graduates to help ensure their success.

We see a wide range of medical, surgery, urgent, and emergency cases and work with our community of specialists for orthopedic, oncology, physical therapy, and advanced imaging expertise. Our equipment resources include digital x-ray, in-house labs, therapeutic laser, and comprehensive dental equipment. Our clinic improvements and renovations are ongoing in this historic practice.

Qualifications: DVM or equivalent from an accredited US veterinary school or Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Applicants must hold a current Colorado license to practice or be eligible to obtain one prior to on boarding. Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain kennels and animal living areas on an hourly basis
  • Clean and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the clinic facilities

  • Wash food and water bowls, maintain food stocks
  • Assist with the intake of boarders and monitor the health and well-being of boarders, inform veterinary staff of any changes or health concerns.

  • Maintain front office and reception area including restocking of over the counter items
  • Receptionists must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Multitasking and ability to follow hospital protocols are essential

Skills Required: Expertise with veterinary and medical software programs. Excellent customer service skills. Accurate transaction processing. Medical record management. Follow-up and follow-through with clients and professional staff. Strong attention to details and organizational skills. Ability to focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of cash handling and customer service experience
  • 1 year experience with medical software programs
  • 1 year of college preferred.
